Bio
Fingacode, also known as Junior, is a Cameroonian artist based in England, UK. His practice focuses on interactive and generative art, combining audio, visuals, and technology to create vibrant, dynamic works that feel alive. Using code and tools such as TouchDesigner, he develops unexpected visual experiences that often surprise even himself.
After studying Interactive Media at Leeds City College, he began working primarily as a developer. One of the key milestones in his artistic career was his first solo exhibition at the NYSCC in New York in March 2022. Around the same time, he entered the NFT space, transforming his artworks into digitally collectible pieces.
Much of Fingacode’s work draws inspiration from his cultural heritage. His collection nth culture celebrates the textile traditions of Bamenda, Cameroon, including Toghu and Ndop fabrics, while exploring themes of diaspora and identity. Another collection, jazz, translates the energy and improvisational nature of jazz music into abstract forms and colours, creating a visual interpretation of rhythm and spontaneity.
His work can be found on platforms such as Bright Moments, Foundation, and fxhash. He playfully describes his practice as “erratic keyboard tapping and mouse clicking,” while continuing to explore how technology and art can come together to create something magical.
